Diva Builder’s Goal is to bring together the Modern Construction Technology and Ancient Vastu Science discovered by our ancestors through experimental observations for thousands of years. Now We are in the 20th year of our journey with hundreds of happy customers. We firmly believe that every house has its own life.
In every home, the kitchen is more than a space for cooking—it is the heart of the house, a symbol of nourishment, care, and prosperity. At Diva Builders, we believe in designing kitchens not just with modern functionality, but also by harmonizing them with the time-tested principles of Vastu Shastra.
According to Vastu, the kitchen represents the element of fire, one of the five great elements (Panchabhutas) that influence the balance of energies in a living space. Proper placement and alignment of the kitchen are essential to ensure that this fire energy brings warmth, health, and abundance rather than restlessness or imbalance.
Ideal Direction for Kitchen
The most recommended location for a kitchen as per Vastu is the Southeast corner of the house. This direction is ruled by Agni (Fire God) and is believed to amplify positive energy when the kitchen is placed here. If the southeast is not available, the next best option is the Northwest corner, although it must be planned with specific remedies.
Positioning of Stove and Sink
The cooking stove, which is the main source of fire, should be placed in the southeast part of the kitchen and the person cooking should face east. This not only brings good health to the family but also promotes peace of mind while preparing meals. Meanwhile, the sink, representing the water element, should be placed in the northeast, to avoid clashes between water and fire elements.
Placement of Storage and Appliances
Heavy storage like grain containers or kitchen cabinets should be placed in the south or west walls. Electrical appliances such as ovens and microwaves should ideally be located in the southeast section. The refrigerator is best positioned in the southwest, and water purifiers or dispensers should be in the northeast.
Colors and Lighting
Vastu also emphasizes the importance of colors. Shades like orange, yellow, rose, or soft green are recommended as they enhance warmth, freshness, and positivity. Bright, natural lighting is ideal, preferably with a window in the east to allow the morning sun to flow in.
Why It Matters
When kitchens are designed as per Vastu, they contribute to better digestion, mental calmness, family harmony, and financial well-being. It’s not about superstition—it’s about aligning with the subtle energies of nature that influence our daily lives.
At DivaTech, we blend these Vastu insights into every kitchen design, ensuring your home radiates health and happiness from its very core—the kitchen.
